Foschi's Engineering Group originates from "Ing. Foschi Eugenio Technical Office", that was formed in 1950 after the registration at the number 117 of the name of the Engineer Eugenio Foschi in the Professional Register of the Engineers Association of the district of Forlì. After a first period devoted to the planning of houses and hotels the office devotes itself to the municipal water system and the natural gas distribution.
Since the construction of the first methane pipelines, after the discovery and the exploitation of the methane-field in Ravenna, Mr. Eugenio Foschi organized some meetings for local Boards Administrators and Technicians to encourage the extent of the national grid of methane transport pipelines to the Riviera of Romagna. In 1958 starts designing and supervising the construction of gas distribution systems in cities and towns in the Riviera of Romagna. Initially these systems were supplied with air – propane gas and then with natural gas. Mr. Foschi was chairman, in Cesena, in a meeting in 1960 on the theme "Problems about the production and the supply of natural gas in Romagna" again chairman in Rimini in 1961, on the theme "Ways and means to supply natural gas to the Riviera of Romagna" and finally chairman in Forlì, in 1964, on the theme "The planning of the development of the natural gas system in the District of Forlì".
He takes part either in Italy or abroad to study committees, discussions and meetings regarding the distribution of the natural gas and its uses.
Conscious that the natural gas industry on one hand helps definitely the improvement of people's standard of living, on the other hand puts new problems to the technicians, public administrators and lawmakers, Mr. Foschi prepares within the National Council of the Municipal Undertakings of natural gas, of which he is a member, to turn its attention to the problem of the security by proper meetings. So in 1972 an active attendance to a periodical course of meetings, called "Securgas" began with the main object of analyzing the problems of the security and suggesting technical body of legislation for a proper realization of the utilization of the natural gas system.
In 1977, Lino Foschi, after taking his mechanical engineering degree, started his professional cooperation with his father, Eugenio.
Since the late seventies the company has been involved in the distribution of natural gas in the South of Italy. To meet the requirements of a wider and wider field of business, the technical office was turned into a new company called Ingegneria Impiantistica Foschi.
Mr. Lino Foschi's technical contribution qualifies the Company also as regards the technology of the protection from the corrosion of the metallic structures and he had some presentations at meetings on this topic. Mr. Lino Foschi is also involved in the field of standardization and is a member of Italian, and European committees for standardization.
In 1983 in order to give a more complete service to its costumers and to meet the increased demand from the foreign market, a new company was created: Ingegneri Eugenio e Lino Foschi s.a.s. This company can provide a complete technical service in the planning, designing and supervision of construction of gas plants both in Italy and abroud.
To comply with the new rules for Pubblic Works recently introduced and to keep abreast of the times in 2001 the Foschi Group established Foschi Engineering Srl, a new company that can provide an even more complete and modern service to its costumers all over the world.

In 2007 Foschi Group, sensitive to the new problems connected to the management of environmental matters, territorial development, health and safety, quality control, energy saving and alternative energy sources, that are becoming more and more relevant, took over Risorse Engineering Srl, a company that has been dealing with this problems for many years
